I would strongly advise any person who is looking to gain more traffic to their sites to commence writing articles asap. As a rule I attempt or have a goal to write an average of one article per day. On certain days when I have more time or when I am in the mood for it, I write a lot more than just one, my record thus far has been seven in one day.

Ezinearticles is voted at number one. This site is actually way ahead of any other article marketing directory and really is a top site. It is important to be clear about their guidelines when submitting to this site as they do not accept any old rubbish, which of course has to be a good thing.

I also submit to articlealley, articledashboard, goarticles and ideamarketers.

I used to also submit my articles to searchwarp but they have had a bit of a disaster and they now use the no follow rule on all links in the author bio.

One other article directory which I have heard is very good is buzzle. I have yet to submit to this site but am likely to in the near future.
