MLM Odyssey – What’s Marketing Got to Do With It?
by admin on Dec.02, 2009, under General
I started marketing on the internet on July 8, 2008, four weeks after I moved to Suffolk Virginia. I purchased a “travel store” which came with a website and a back office. The website fee was $59.95 per month. If you signed up three people then your website would be FREE. The hype surrounding this business was in the compensation plan and the exotic travel locations at a reduced rate for you and your family. Yes, they had a training/marketing module, but one had to get family and friends to sign up for this opportunity. Hence, I asked family and friends via phone calls, letters, e-mail, fax, etc. Not one signed up.
The training/marketing module from my upline consisted of a thirty- day boot camp, which was nothing more than a few emails put together with various tips, and tricks that were dated. No blogs, no discussion forums, no PPC, no article marketing, no press releases, to name a few marketing strategies, were ever mentioned with this travel company. The training/marketing package and business cards were another $150. The “travel store” itself cost $199.00 because it was discounted at the time of purchase. It would have cost $399 without the president’s discount. If one considers all fees and monthly payments from July to December then the grand total is $708.70 out of pocket expense!
So living in a city in which I new no one, I had to find a way to market this product. My upline was friendly, but of no assistance whatsoever. Their marketing strategy was to cold call leads that you purchased. They even called some leads that I had from my days of working ten hours per day, but that’s another story. I endured for several months. I did earn some money – $80.80! But to get this commission I had to write the company telling them that I was going to start a letter campaign against them for non-payment, a breach of their contract. I received the check and deposited it quickly.
The tax deductions were all good for this first attempt at earning money via an online MLM. The next part of this odyssey was concerned with finding a legitimate primary business on the internet. I needed to find out how to market on the internet. My research and due diligences lead me to find this important fact of life: internet training with a focus on marketing and the ability to use marketing tools is the foundation of any successful MLM.
I needed a training website that would be cost effective yet useful in learning internet marketing. After one year of going for this and for that, I finally discovered the Traffic Plan. The training is intense, purposeful, and easy to understand because it is taught in a non-techie way. One is able to listen to videos again and again. The Traffic Plan is free to join, however, the value is apparent once you get started. For example, article marketing is discussed in detail on day 15 of the 30-day training schedule. Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media are explained in terms of the way in which they interconnect to drive free traffic to your blog or to your chosen primary business. Another example is using Twitter traffic directed towards FB, Ezines, Blogs, etc. In other words, free traffic is generated from social media! Currently, I am marketing with skills that I have learned at the Traffic Plan and TTP continues to add new training almost daily. So to avoid the search for the “Holy Grail” of internet marketing, and to answer the question, “What’s marketing got to do with it?” visit the site below. The experience will be AWESOME.

Is Brian Fanale A Good MLM Trainer?
by admin on Sep.28, 2009, under General
Brian Fanale, a brief background:
Just a few years back, Brian Fanale was…
NOBODY: He was a bartender dreaming of riches, just graduated from college and living in a perpetual state of Rock and Roll.
(If you want to read the UNCUT version of this blog entry, visit my Brian Fanale Review)
He began his career in the MLM profession frustrated, just like 97% of the industry population, regardless of any strategy his upline gave him, he couldn’t seem to elude the failure that so easily beset him, unsatisfied with a ridiculous level of failure and self loathing, Brian Fanale set off to find the ‘SECRET’ of MLM success.
So we can keep our article short, I’ll just cut to the chase: Brian Fanale eventually learned the guiding principles of ‘Attraction Marketing’ and from that point on, he has lived in a state of complete prosperity
Brian has now shattered several international sales records, and is one of the top five earners in one of the largest Direct Selling companies in the world.
What company is Brian Fanale a part of?
Brian is an independent representative of Wealth Masters International, and he markets his business primarily through a ‘funded proposal’ marketing system called Carbon Copy Pro. As an encompassing review of CCP and WMI is beyond the scope and purpose of this article, if you’re not familiar with the company, you can visit my Carbon Copy Pro Review.
Is Brian Fanale a Scam?
Brian is a lot of things – musician, entrepreneur, marketing genius, mentor…
…but he can hardly be called a scam. In fact, Brian is one of the most sought after internet entrepreneurs in the entire Carbon Copy Pro business model.
So would it be a good idea to join Brian Fanale’s team?
Well, that is going to heavily depend on what your goals are. Not everyone who gets involved in Brian Fanale’s business is going to have the same level of success that he has. Moreover, Carbon Copy Pro just might not be the right match for you. While Brian is definitely a great mentor and business leader, I would highly encourage you to read my Carbon Copy Pro Review before you decide to get involved with Brian.
A great question to ask is to think about what you want to actually be involved in. Do you realize that Carbon Copy Pro is not an MLM? If you want to build a MLM distributorship – you should look elsewhere for success.
Can Brian Fanale help you succeed?
This is where I can give Brian a raving review…
Brian will go out of his way to give you the tools you need for success if you join his team. IThe truth is, I actually worked with Brian to develop my own marketing system, and from a first hand testimonial – he is a great mentor.
Does Brian Fanale have any ’secrets’?
I can tell you absolutely that Brian has no secrets. He is an open book to his team and will give all of the knowledge he has to those around him.
Quite frankly, the only thing stopping millions of failing Network Marketers from using our marketing systems is either ignorance, or laziness.
So my thoughts for you is are: if prosperity is eluding you in the MLM profession, there are two problems that are causing it:
1. Your marketing list isn’t near the size it should be, and thus there’s not enough people to talk to that can fill your time. (Which is simply solved by stop trying to talk to people until you MASTER basic internet marketing skills.)
2. You’re not talking to the leads you have – My guess is, if you’re not calling your leads it’s because you’re buying useless leads from some kind of lead vendor, or you’re still making primitive, neanderthal lists of all of your social contacts – this will stop when you’ve got sincere, interested people who are excited to hear from YOU.
That’s it! Literally, that’s everything there is – having enough leads to talk to, and talking to the leads that you have. If those two things are in check and you’re still not making money, you need a better marketing system!
If you would like to immediately start generating the kind of leads that will have you EXCITED to wake up everyday and get on the phone…

How to survive in this economy
by admin on Jul.25, 2009, under General
One of the issues a lot of Americans are dealing with in this economic times is the need to make more money. That is obvious. But in this economic state, the economy just makes matters worse.
What am I talking about?Well more people need to make some extra money. But in this economy with businesses cutting back rather than increasing production, a person is more liable to lose money rather than make money.
Well what can somebody do to fight that? One of the best ways to do it is to take advantage of all the network marketing opportunities out there.
If you aren’t familiar with network marketing, it is a home business opportunity where you sell things as an affiliate. But you aren’t only making money when you sell the product but you can also make money when other people sell the product under you.
The process of finding these people to sell under you is called MLM prospecting. You go out to prospect and recruit people into joining your opportunity.Anybody you recruit who joins underneath you you can make a profit off of what they sell and do.
If you follow the steps in their plan, you not only can make extra money sometimes the income you make will replace your current income.Of course it isn’t simple. But anything where you can make good money is never easy. There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme.
So the next thing you need to do is find a list of the top network marketing companies. Choose one that you like in terms of product and compensation. And really work hard.
Usually when you join you will have an upline who will help you in getting started. That is the person who will be helping you and has more experience than you. They also have a financial incentive in helping you succeed.
One of the best parts is the low start up costs. In the economic times we are in you aren’t going to find too many people who have the money to start most businesses. Most network marketing companies cost less than a $500 to start. That includes products.
So if you are looking for a way to make some extra money this might be it.
