How Many Hit Before You Get A Sign Up
by admin on Oct.04, 2009, under General
Network Marketing Hit/Sign Up Ratio
First let me tell you that this is more of an educated guess based on past experiences, then a factual document but should be very close to factual, so use this info as my opinion please…
I figure the following estimates for 1 signup, these are NOT based on impressions of a link but are based on how many people actually visit the page and hear the message (a hit to a site).
To get 1 sign-up:
- 15,000 hits from an auto-surf exchange.
- 4,000 hits from a manual hit exchange.
- 1,500 from emailed ads (these are how many people visit the site, not how many get the email)
- 100 pay-per-click targeted advertising (like google adwords)
- 50 message boards/classified ad hits (again not how many people see the message, but how many people visit the site after seeing the message)
- 100 banner hits (again not how many people see the banner, but how many people visit the site after seeing the banner)
Now what is the difference between impressions and hits?
Many people get confused. A hit is when someone actually visits the page (an actual click on your link). An impression on the other hand is when you have a link or a banner and it is shown to people, they still haven’t visited (clicked on it) the site until they are sent to the site.
How many impressions per hit? (this also is just an educated guess and also depends on your banner or link):
For every 1000 impressions (banner/link ) you should get 1 hit.Now these numbers will changed based on how much info you give them.
For example, if you posted a link on a message board (note some message boards don’t allow advertising) and you gave a testimonial or a little sales pitch with it then you are probably getting even as good as: 20 impressions for every 1 hit.
So do some of the math.
Say you join a banner exchange, you would need to get (approximately) 100,000 impressions before you got one sale.Because, with 100,000 impressions you should get about 100 hits and out of those you would get approx. 1 signup. I am NOT saying do not do banner advertising, I am just trying to help you to set the proper expectations.
Now here are some other statistics that are worth mentioning:
(these are based on other projects that I have done or researched)
For every 40 (leads) phone calls you make, you should get someone to signup.
Every 10 people that you know that you talk to about this, like friends and family you would get a signup.
This number increases based on how much info you are able to give them.
For example, if you have them watch the DVD from GDI.
The number will increase if you can watch the video with them.
You can see why most network marketing companies encourage you to talk to their friends and families.
So the bottum line is this is simply a numbers game there is no magic bullet to come and save you, the only way you are going to truly be able to make money online as an affiliate or otherwise is to get your offer in front of Thousands of interested people.
How is that done by driving traffic to your offer which I will cover in a up coming Article called “How To Drive Targeted Traffic”

Guidelines in Buying in Online Classifieds
by admin on Jul.08, 2009, under General
Check the website
Take to consider the website’s reputation in finding a good online classified. Check the website if many people use this website as a way to buy and sell their products. Good basis would be: they can publish new advertisements everyday, they are information rich website, they can publish images of the product, the website has a high page rank, has a forum, etc.
Item seller
Look for some testimonial that a person has a good reputation. It can also help you to have a background of the person that will sell the product. Try to gather some information about the item seller to see whether if he or she is a scammer or not.
Look for the quality of the items
Gather information for the product that you want to buy. Learn to ask from others’ opinion and weigh it, so you will not regret later on. Gather information about the product by asking the item seller if it has a scratch, damage and defect.
Check the item price
Don’t forget to make a canvass if the price is too high or not. Check other websites to determine if the product is worth your money. Please be aware of hidden charges. Make sure you do not overpay.
How old the product is
It is better to know what is new and what is old. Make sure that the product is durable. Also you must be able to distinguish if the package has been repacked or repaired. Maybe if it is too old, it will easily get broken.
Ask for a warranty
A personal warranty is a good thing to have. But it all depends on the seller if he or she gives a warranty. Try to settle a return agreement or a new item replacement if you have any problem with the product. If possible, ask for a money back guarantee.
Transaction
Make things clear between both of you, especially when regarding transactions. If it is to be delivered, don’t approve to deliver it in your house without you receiving it. Make sure you have the time to accept the package yourself. This allows you check the quality of the product. Check the quality by carefully looking at all the aspects of the product like parts, damages etc. Make sure that you buy an authentic item and not a fake one. If you don’t like their service, let them know what the problem is. These will help them enhance their service.
If you both agreed to meet at a certain place, the item seller usually is the one who goes to the buyer’s place. If both of you will meet at a certain place, be sure that you will able to test the product before you buy it, by this you will able to know if it is defective or not.
It is a great idea if you are accompanied by a knowledgeable person.

Do the Two-Step!
by admin on May.26, 2009, under General
Internet marketing is just like SEO; top seo services make sure to have the best professional website design and a good amount of web traffic for their sites to go up in the search engine results. The top sales experts admit that it takes seven or more communications or sales messages before prospective customers makes a purchase. They also believe that it is easier to sell a referral because someone they know gave positive testimonial about their products or services.
What would happen if you combined both of these powerful ideas? A nifty and thrifty two-step. Try this two-step tip:
1. Try collecting leads with your auto-responder. Ask for mailing addresses and telephone numbers, too, for additional ways to follow up with each person. When you download the e-mail digest of everyone’s e-mail addresses and other information from those who requested additional information from your auto responder, follow up multiple ways. Send postcards. Call. Mail sales letters and other promotional pieces.
2. Also, you can publish a price list of all the products and service that you offer in an insert direct marketing package and/or .pdf to be made available via an auto responder. You could also include order forms, product descriptions, and other sales material. Then, send to the people in #1 above with monthly updates, announcements of new sales and products or services and a small request for referrals. This type of information will help you understand their needs, likes & dislikes better.
Now, instead of answering each customer question that is e-mailed to you, publish “Frequently Ask Questions” and you can make them available via auto responder to those who sign up. To save time and support headaches. Instead of publishing all of your customer testimonials or endorsements on your website, publish only a few there..
Remember to publish free reports to send via your auto responder. The reports should be related to your business or web site & contain info, ads and links to your sites. People love getting freebies..
So why not improve your closing ratio and reach out even farther at the same time? Do the two-step!
