A Free Platform to Promote Your Products – Squidoo For Newbies
by admin on Nov.27, 2009, under General
Everyone talks about multiple streams of income, but not too many people talk about multiple marketing streams. I’ve come to believe that having multiple marketing streams is at least as important as having multiple streams of income.
But first, let me define what I’m talking about. Multiple marketing streams is a term I’ve just coined and it means using a variety of marketing tactics simultaneously to bring fresh leads into your business.
Not only you can have an unlimited amount of lenses on one account, but you can have as many accounts as you want as well. Some members have a great amount of accounts.
Why should you use Squidoo?
As internet marketers, especially when you are new and might not own a website yet, your “lens” can be your site. You can use a lens as a review page of your product and have up to 9 links on your page, in the form of a URL, anchor text or a picture of your product that will link your customers to the page where they can actually buy your product.
Okay so what are some of these marketing streams? Below is a list (although it’s far from an exhaustive list). Use it to brainstorm more ideas for you business but by all means, do NOT use it to overwhelm yourself. There’s no need to implement all of these at once. (And don’t forget, you CAN hire people to help you implement these tactics — it doesn’t have to be all you.)
In the end, the only factor that will determine your success with affiliate marketing is your desire to succeed and your willingness to follow through. If you have that desire and you take action, you WILL learn and you WILL succeed. There are no two ways about it

The Correct Way to Use Social Networking Sites for Internet Marketing
by admin on Sep.10, 2009, under General
Social networking sites are very popular right now and they will continue to grow in popularity. That’s why Internet Marketers use these sites to help market their business. However, many people fail to use Social networking sites correctly. The following is the correct way to use Social Networking sites.
Some examples of social networking sites include MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, Squidoo, and YouTube. The intent of social networking sites is to help people connect with each other. This is what almost everyone on these sites is there for. So it only makes sense that most people don’t take kindly to others trying to market themselves on most social networking sites.
So, why do most Internet Marketers try to blatantly market their products on social networking sites? It doesn’t make any sense, and it doesn’t make any money either.
The correct way to use social networking sites is to simply try to meet and befriend as many people as possible. Just try to find people who are interested in your niche and then get to know the people. Don’t try to market anything to them. Prove to people that you’re someone who can be trusted and that you’re someone who is knowledgeable about a given topic. This will form a strong base that will eventually lead to a lot more sales.
In order to use social networking sites the right way you need to have a blog. Make sure that you let people know about the blog. Then the people who meet and know you on the social networking sites can visit your blog to learn more about you. If they trust and appreciate you, they will go to your blog. From your blog you will then direct them to your site where you will directly market to people. If people like your blog then they will be likely to click through to your site. That is when they will be directly marketed to.
Too many people try to market directly on social networking sites. This can work but more often than not it doesn’t work. In fact, sometimes it has the opposite effect. Sometimes you can lose your reputation on a social networking site when you try to directly market your products to other members.
The correct way to use social networking sites for Internet Marketing is to simply get to know people and to be a valued member of the social community. You don’t want to directly market to other members because this rarely works and often hurts your credibility on the site. Simply use social networking sites the way they were meant to be used – use them to meet and get to know other people.

Backing up your PageSites
by admin on Nov.20, 2008, under General
We get Internet Marketing questions all the time… The most common one is “How do I backup pages on Blogger?”. So being the technical guys we are, we took note some documentation about a great plugin for Firefox named ScrapBook. We installed it and put it to the test. And you know what? This works for every social website we surfed!
ScrapBook is a great way to keep all that content you have on any number of sites organized with a local backup copy that your backup to internet can automatically archive for you. With one program! It just saves it. No command lines, fancy plugins or holding your tongue just right. If bad things happen to one of your sites, you’ve got the content.
How you are wondering? We did it like this.
A First, go to the ScrapBook download page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/427). Click the Install Now button (green) and restart Firefox when instructed.
B Once Firefox has restarted, you’re ready to use ScrapBook.
C Go to a website you’d like to save with ScrapBook. Once you’re there, on the menu, select Capture Page As.
D Use “Capture Page As” to set the depth of links you want to copy. This is a important! This is how you can automatically back up all the links on your page. If you had the depth set to 0 (zero), you wouldn’t be able to copy those extra pages. If it was set to 1, you’d be able to. But if it were set to 2, you would have saved all the secondary pages, etc.
E After you’ve selected the different options, click Capture. It’s now saved on your computer! Now, go to the ScrapBook menu and click Show in Sidebar. You’ll see the pages you’ve captured listed.
So, what do we have so far? You now have a local copy of all the content on your FaceBook, etc. page. So if anything goes south, your covered. But just like Ron Popiel says… “But we have more for you”.
If you have a internet attached storage product like OPENRSM Cloudbackup on your computer just make sure that it’s configuration has your personal files selected for backup. All your social website content is backed up this way and backed up with the rest of your data. And Firefox runs on windows, Mac, and Linux all the same. Not only will your computer have a full remote backup, but your social websites will be too.
