The Media Kit And Blog Profits
by admin on Aug.12, 2009, under General
When your blog has finally grown and gathered a strong enough following for you to make a bolder move towards monetizing it, that’s when you should start thinking of putting up a media kit for your site. An essential tool for people who want to make money blogging, media kits are your very own launching pad for promoting your blog to advertisers who might want to grab a spot on your site.
If you want to start making your own media kit, there are certain guidelines you should follow. Although media kits can come in various forms, the most effective ones all have a few crucial elements in place. Here are a few guidelines that you can refer to when you want to start making your own media kit:
1. Keep it simple
“The cardinal objective of this blog is to proffer visitors with real-time information and analyses of current trends in the multimedia sphere.” Sounds good? Probably if you were writing a thesis, but if you’re putting up a media kit, this sentence alone will be enough to drive away advertisers. Don’t consume their time by whipping out sentences that are long-winded, ambiguous, and boring. Short and sweet is the way to go with media advertising kits, so keep things simple, and direct to the point.
2. Include your blog’s profile and stats:
You should also put up a good blog profile, detailing what your niche is and what sorts of issues, concerns, or topics that your blog is immersed in. What does your site offer that’s different from the mishmash of other sites out there? Advertisers will definitely want to know.
You should also include the figures on your blog stats to show how much traffic your blog is getting, and where your visitors are coming from. You can even sneak in a screen shot of your Google Analytics page, just to show potential advertisers what the deal with your site is.
3. Give clear information on your ad packages:
Your ad packages are the heart of the matter here, so do your best to make all the information about them as clear as possible. If an advertiser is impressed by the exposure that you can provide for their ads, they’ll definitely want a spot in your blog. Show on your media kit how much your packages are, what the button and banner sizes are, and where they will be positioned in your blog.
4. Create a page exclusively for it:
Don’t just make an entry and hope advertisers will notice. Instead, make an entire page that contains nothing but your media advertising kit, and of course, all the details relevant to it. Put up an extra tab on your site, or, if your template doesn’t enable that, create a link that will direct advertisers right where your kit is.
Now that you’re all game to seriously make money blogging, creating a media kit should be one of your priorities. This way, advertisers will be aware that you’re willing to accommodate them in your site, and that your blog is the perfect place for them to put up their ads in.

Free Keyword Finder

See any website’s Adwords keywords while browsing Google in real-time. Get it now CLICK Here Want to know what keywords your competition is bidding on via Google Adwords? New, free tool shows you!
Hello, I know your time is valuable so I will cut to the chase, but wanted to let you in on a brand new, free keyword research tool that’s just been released . Internet Marketing guru, Brad Callen, just told me about a free keyword tool that they recently created.
I just downloaded this cool tool that I can see my adversaries keywoods with, and come up with more keywords I can use for my campaigns.
It is very simple to use. Just use Google search engine, a “view keywords” button is displayed below the ad by the addon software.
It’s really slick. It installs right into your web browser and you will not know it is even there, nor tell it’s running when the browser’s open, there is only a small icon in the system tray.
With this addon you can find what Adwords keywords anyone is using and being bid onOnly Google and the advertisers had access to these Adwords Keywords before. All you need to do is a simple action and, up will popup a window that shows you the keywords they’re bidding on! This will revolutionise the way keywords will be selected in the future.
Anyway, I thought you’d be interested in downloading since it’s free. I highly suggest that you go and download the tool while it’s still free, because I am guessing it won’t be free for long.
I have only told you about part of the power in this program, you will be surprised at what else it offers, so you do really need to get your free copy and begin to find out what this software addon can do for you, but I’ll let you play with it yourself.
