How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

Affiliate Marketing Definition: Someone (affiliate) that promotes (markets) a companies products and is paid a commission for the sales that are made via the affiliates promotions.
Is affiliate marketing any good? Affiliate marketing has become one of the easiest and very popular ways to earn money online. You can sign up to an affiliate for so many different companies or products, the possibilities are endless. But one big question remains…
How do you get started and become successful in the world of online affiliate marketing? One way is to take the long trail and discover it through trial and error. Unfortunately, this way can take months, and sometimes even years before a beginner internet marketer finally gets the whole thought of affiliate marketing and is able to turn it into an income replacing profession. The pro of trial and error is you actually find what works well for you through your mistakes. The bad thing of this method is that it takes a LOT of time searching the internet trying to find free information that actually leads to noteworthy information.

Infinite Income Plan – One of the Best Affiliate Programs

I’ve only been involved with the Infinite Income Plan (IIP) for a few weeks, but I’m already watching the traffic build. I’ve already got about 75 “opt-ins” with more being added everyday.
I think I’m nearing what Malcolm Gladwell describes”the Tipping Point”.
I got really excited by the IIP V2.0 Training Call this week and I’ve definitely appreciated the individual support and guidance provided by my Sponsor, and having the opportunity to phone him, or email him, when I have questions and require some individual training.(I’m glad to know that there are some real people behind this affiliate program!)
I’m a computer consultant by occupation, and recently joined the crowds of people who’ve been laid off in this decline, so I’m looking to IIP to carry me through this down time, and ultimately replace my consulting income completely. One of the major advantages for me right now is that being part of IIP gives me the chance to do some very positive things to further my financial future – rather than merely sitting around, being sadand depressed by how adverse the job market is today.
I’m known as a “Power User” of application systems, and fully believe in the weight of computerization and leverage so I’ve used as many of the IIP/Zoomica tools as I can – and waiting eagerly for the ones that are soon to be released in IIP V2.0. I’m mainly glad to be able to farm out the sales closings to the IIP staff.
It’s great to monitor my figures get bigger weekly, as more of my articles get posted and my adwords programs operate 7×24 (even when I’m sleeping, visiting with friends, traveling, etc.)
I’m using both Google and Microsoft AdWords tools, doing a lot of article marketing, and have barely scratched the surface using the various social networking tools.
My personal desire is to automate my income, retire early, and take pleasure in what Tim Ferriss calls the “4-Hour Work Week” (a long ways from there at this early stage, but that’s my plan) along with a lavish lifestyle that is not limited to a particular geography.
