Realize Your Goals

Overcome Your Anxieties
Everyone dreams. We dream of success, nice homes, fast cars, and enjoyable vacations.
Past disappointments tend to limit our willingness to take the risks necessary to become successful. Because some of us are intimidated by the internet, we don’t go all out to realize our dreams of success with our internet businesses.
Change happens so rapidly that it’s very difficult to keep up with the latest internet marketing strategies. So how do we find the wisdom and the courage to take the next step on our journey to achieving our goals?
Mindset Is Critical
Sir Winston Churchill once said, “Success is measured by your ability to maintain enthusiasm between failures.”
Every day my inbox is filled with advertisements for newer and better ways to perform internet marketing. But which ones are legitimate and which are merely scams? There’s no substitute for actually trying the product you’re considering.
Success Personality
One Gallup organization in-depth study of the “success personality” explored the attitudes and traits of 1500 randomly selected individuals from Who’s Who in America. The three most significant traits they found were:
1) Common Sense – the ability to simplify a complex subject by getting to the core of what matters
2) Knowing One’s Field – first-hand knowledge as well as support from experienced coaches, and
3) Self-Reliance
Noted author, Brian Tracy, has stated, “All successful men and women are big dreamers. They imagine their ideal future and then work very hard to realize that future.”
Success Formula
If you want to achieve your dreams, apply the following success formula:
1) Determine your desired outcome(s)
2) Be proactive – meaning, do something!
3) Notice and feedback results
4) If the results are not what you want, change your strategy
For home business owners, the ability to maintain enthusiasm between failures (or more likely, between massive sales) will, indeed, separate the successful ones from the unsuccessful ones.
And one of the best ways to maintain your enthusiasm is to associate yourself with successful people – teachers, mentors and other gurus who’ve “been there and done that” and are already successful.
A very good starting point for collecting all the understanding about internet marketing that you’ll need is to enroll in the Online Success for Beginners program.

Increase Leverage for Your Home Business by Outsourcing
by admin on Oct.25, 2009, under General
The objective of leverage is to gain the biggest advantage with the least possible effort. Especially, for us, that means maximum ROI with least personal involvement, and we can accomplish this via outsourcing.
Prior articles discussed gaining leverage by 1) re-using, and 2) re-purposing content. In this article, we’ll focus on developing leverage by outsourcing recurring, or non-value-add work, and any work that simply doesn’t fit our personal skills, experience and/or character.
Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman documented some interesting findings from more than 25 years of research by the Gallup organization – initially in their book, First, Break All the Rules: What the World’s Greatest Managers Do Differently, and subsequently elaborating on those findings in later books. Two of their findings, that are important for online marketers and home-based business owners in general are these: 1) Improve your positives, not your weaknesses, and 2) Acquire assistants for ability.
Online business has a large learning curve and requires many different skills. But, not very many people are talented in all of those skills – and even those who multi-skilled, may not be using their available energy and other skills when they focus on their weaknesses.
William of Occam, noted for “Occam’s Razor,” has noted: “It is vain to do with more what can be done with less.” As small business owners, this has a big lesson for us in terms of our own time usage.
Tim Ferriss, author of “The 4-Hour Workweek” is a major proponent of outsourcing to virtual assistants to handle recurrent, low prioritiy activities or other non-favored tasks.
It may come as a surprise to realize that outsourcing is not limited to giant businesses, but recognizing the low cost of international VAs, even small, home-based organizations can afford to delegate a lot of tasks to VAs.
One task that many internet marketers choose to outsource is writing articles. Many see the value of writing articles, but either can’t write well, or simply don’t want to write, so they delegate article authoring to freelancers.
Another task you might consider outsourcing to a virtual assistant (or call center) is the telephone and email follow-up required for lead generation and sales closings.
If you focus on your areas of strength, you gain the benefits of leverage and multiply your results, whereas, focusing on your weaknesses willonly marginally improve your results.
Which is more important to you – the ability to multiply your results, or simply see incremental improvements?

Get Leverage for Your Home-Based Business by Outsourcing

The objective of leverage is to gain the most advantage with least effort. Specifically, for online businesses, that means highest profit with minimal personal involvement.
Prior articles described ways of increasing leverage by 1) re-using content, and 2) re-purposing. In this article, we’ll focus on obtaining leverage by outsourcing routine, or non-value-add work, and any work that simply doesn’t fit our personal skills, experience and/or temperament.

Two of their most important findins for internet marketers and home-based business owners are these: 1) Play to your strengths, not your weaknesses, and 2) Acquire staff for talent.
Affiliate business has a rather large learning curve and requires many different skills. Unfortunately, few people are personally skilled at all of them – and even those who are may not be making the best use of their available time and other skills if they focus on areas that are relative weaknesses for them.
William of Occam, best known for “Occam’s Razor,” has stated: “It is vain to do with more what can be done with less.”
Tim Ferriss, author of “The 4-Hour Workweek” is a big promoter of the use of virtual assistants to handle repetitive, non-value-add tasks or those for which he does not have either the time or inclination to perform. Contrary to popular opinion, outsourcing is not relegated only to giant corporations, but given the low cost of international virtual assistants, even small, home-based companies can afford to outsource a lot of tasks to virtual assistants.
One task that many internet marketers choose to outsource is writing articles. They see the value of article marketing, but either can’t write well, or simply don’t want to write, so they outsource article authoring to ghost-writers.
You also might want to consider outsourcing to a call center (or virtual assistant) all the telephone and email follow-up required for lead generation and sales closings.
If you focus on your areas of strength, you can multiply your results, whereas, focusing on your weaknesses will ,at best, result in only an incremental improvement in results.
Which is more important to you – the ability to multiply your results, or simply see incremental improvements?
