Two Critical Keys to Making More Money in Internet Marketing

There’s a rather vocal minority in the Internet Marketing community who are of the opinion that there are no secrets in this business, and that you can learn everything you need to know to build a successful online business for free. They say that there’s no need to buy any of the courses the ‘Gurus’ are selling; all you have to do is surf around and learn how to do it yourself.
A great example of this are the people who say Site Build It is too expensive, that you only need 3 dollar hosting and a free blog to make money online.
The huge problem with this view is that while it certainly is possible to eventually work out how to build a successful business on your own, it takes time. And to work out what actually works through a process of trial and error, it can take a LOT of time.
Now if you really think about it, why would you want to spend time (which is the only commodity you can’t buy more of) trying to work everything out yourself, when for a few bucks you can BUY somebody’s proven System after they’ve ironed out all the bugs?
The other big Elephant in the room that the ‘Do it all yourself for free with a blog’ crowd don’t want to talk about is that if you look at successful people in all walks of life, nearly all of them have some sort of role model, coach or Mentor who encouraged andd pushed them to succeed. Virtually none of them tried to ‘Do it all themselves for free!’
So the REAL keys to making money in Internet Marketing is these -
1 - Find a System that has been proven to work
2 - Find a Mentor to help you to implement that system
Sometimes you can be fortunate enough to find a mentor who will help you for free. You should be careful of free advice though, it’s normally worth what you pay for it (and it will often get you into more trouble instead of help). The majority of the time, you’ll have to pay your Mentor or Coach to share his or her experience. That’s understandable – do you work in your job or business for free without expectation of payment? Probably not…
The bottom line is that you shouldn’t really expect to be coached for free by anybody who has succeeded at what you want to do, so you should be ready and willing to pay for it. Paying for a proven System that has results for others, and then investing in coaching from somebody who can shortcut your learning curve dramatically is a wise investment.
Once you move past the ‘Do it yourself’ lack mindset and start to follow a System that is proven to work, a whole World of opportunities will present itself. When you have found some success, paying for more Systems and coaching to take you to the next level will seem like an absolute bargain.
So my advice would be to forget about trying to do everything yourself, and choose a System you’d like to become an expert in. It doesn’t really matter what it is – Google or Yahoo PPC, Article Marketing, Product Creation, Affiliate Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, or anything else. Then choose ONE Mentor to help you master that System, and focus on perfecting it for yourself under their watchful eye until you succeed.
Now as far as I’m concerned, THAT’S the real key to making money with Internet Marketing. Site Build It can help you to build a successful online business, but make sure you get personal coaching and support when you buy it. There IS a learning curve and you don’t want to do it all on your own.
