Internet Marketers – Less Gmail Inbox Clutter, More Productivity
by admin on Feb.26, 2010, under General
Internet marketing is fast paced. While the Internet is the source of your income it also has the potential to drag you down and take away your valuable time. To learn the ins and outs of email efficiency, gather some advice from Internet marketing coach James Schramko, who has the benefit of much experience handling emails in relation to Internet marketing. He recommends using Gmail because it is more efficient than other types of email keeping you free for other important Internet marketing tasks.
Sort Email
Sorting your email is at the forefront of keeping it organized and easy to find. How many times have you tried to retrieve an email only to give up the search without finding it?Have a good sorting method for your important emails for easy access. The best way of sorting is through the use of labels. Using labels lets you file emails in more than one category, unlike folders that are restrictive. Set up labels for all your important areas including urgent, response needed, tax or assistant for example.
Email Search
Having a useful and working search tool built into your email system, such as Gmail offers, is a real time saver.Minimize your time wasted while searching through your folders. Instead, simply type in an associated word and the system will instantly locate your associated emails. Use it to look up Internet marketing client related mail.
Use Filtering
Set up rules so you can eliminate what you don’t need. Use trigger words in the subject line or body of the email or email addresses to filter out emails that you don’t want to see. This allows you to sort email automatically – you won’t need to spend precious time sifting through emails to find the important ones. Spam filtering is essential to getting to the emails that you really need to review and allows you to focus on your Internet marketing strategies.
Manage Several Email Accounts
If you have several or more email accounts set up Gmail to forward emails back to just one account. This allows you to easily handle emails without taking the extra time to go into each account individually.
Learn Tips and Tricks
Spend some time learning the features and shortcuts of email. Most people don’t bother to learn anything but the basics. Make your email work for you by taking time to learn the features that you can use to save time and money. Try out the features and work with them. The more time you spend working with them, the easier it will become.

Software Marketing Plan
by admin on Nov.27, 2009, under General
The modern trend of planning business development strategies and tactics represents the software marketing plan version, thus, for increased efficiency and complexity, marketing planning is carried out with software assistance. We can in fact speak of the assisted-software marketing plan as a map or a road that backs up the service and product promotion. Here is how the system works for any business in general, because, although the specificity differs, the objectives and steps to achieve them are basically the same.
Let us consider for instance the promotion of the business program in a software company. The software marketing plan is meant to identify the client’s benefits; what are the needs of the potential user? How would you like to define the software application? The software marketing plan ought to include the features that set the item apart from the competition. Is price part of the strategy? Competition is very tough in the software industry, and an apparently insignificant detail could bring success or failure.
Based on the product features, the software marketing plan has to develop a section with the primary market features. Who will be the main audience? What strategies do you intend to rely on in order to reach prospects? And here the relevance of the software comes into play. Keep in mind the fact that the market is organized in small niches that tactics can breech.
Every software marketing plan should include a careful analysis or evaluation of the competition. The strong points that set your product apart from the rest should become the core for the promotional strategies. You need to be convincing for an audience that has not decided whether to buy or not. Business success further depends on the market size. Learn how much of the market is dominated by your competitors.
When these stages of the software marketing plan are over, start working on the marketing strategies to implement. The software marketing plan needs to focus on the advertising method, the promotional pattern and the capacity to determine the efficiency of the campaign. In the final form, the plan will turn into a guide to the marketing implementation, even if changes are possible on the way when you realize that something requires a different kind of action.

Internet Marketing Tips – Is Multi-Tasking As Bad As They Say?
by admin on Sep.17, 2009, under General
When we think of multi-tasking we picture the busy mother who is keeping her reckless toddler out of harm’s way whilst cooking dinner, talking on the phone and helping another child with their homework. Whilst you may not relate to this particular image of multi-tasking I’m sure you have your own variation! It might go something like checking your webpage statistics, checking emails, twitter and having a conversation on facebook. Many of us spend our days doing more than one thing at the same time but is this the most efficient way to get things done?
Studies say no way! Using your time to do several things at once does NOT improve efficiency. Doing many things at once will mean that nothing gets done well or effectively.
So then the answer is doing one thing at a time?
For me the answer to this question both YES and NO.
Stay Focused
Many people tell you that to become successful in any field, not just internet marketing you need to remain focused on your goals. This is the kind of focus I definitely agree with.
Many of the successful internet marketing entrepreneurs advise people just starting out in internet marketing to focus on one project at a time.Whilst this is good internet marketing advice, sometimes you need a more practical approach.
Staying focused on one project at a time in the beginning will ensure that you don’t miss any critical steps in the planning and execution of your project. When you are doing something for the first time the task takes much longer to complete and the more you do something the better you get at it.
But sometimes you have to have more than one project to work on because it is easy to get held up by a small detail and not be able to continue your work until it is resolved. For example, if you buy a domain name and make a mistake assigning the dns nameservers then it can take up to 24 hrs for the changes to propagate through the web. If you want to start generating traffic on this site then you have to wait the 24hrs or so until it is live on the web before you can implement traffic generating strategies such as submitting RSS feeds, pinging, social bookmarking etc.
If you didn’t have something else to work on, then any time that you might have been able to use to build your business in that 24 hour period has been lost.
There are plenty of other examples where things on the internet are not instantaneous. Emailing support for help, waiting for approval from a potential affiliate program and of course waiting to see if a PPC campaign will work or not. All of these things can be extremely frustrating for the interent marketing newbie who just wants their website live on the web attracting lots of traffic!Without another project to focus on your will find yourself doing unproductive stuff like overchecking your emails or your Google analytic stats.
So yes you should only do one thing at a time so that you can produce the best possible result but only having one project on the go can waste you a lot of time as well.
Multiple Projects NOT Multi-Tasking
So just to emphasize the point I advise having several projects on the go simultaneously at different stages of completion. BUT, when you are actually working just focus on one thing at a time – multi-project but don’t multi-task!
So how do you manage more than one project at a time?
How do remember exactly what stage you are up to in each separate project?
Systematization is the answer!
Each and every project on the internet has a series of steps that need to be completed. For example: setting up a website involves the same set of steps every time, market research, domain name purchase, website setup …
Using a system of checklists and keeping an up-to-date checklist for every project that you have, keeps you in control. This makes it very easy to stop in the middle of something when you hit a roadblock or you run out of time for the session(when you are trying to squeeze in internet marketing in your spare time this happens a lot).
I am a big fan of excel spreadsheets and use them anytime I can to track my activity in any particular area. I have traffic spreadsheets (one for each website) so that I can keep on top of the pieces of content created for a particular project and whether or not I have used them to their full traffic generating potential.
Now, excel spreadsheets might not be your style but choose something that suits your personality and work habits an use it diligently.I used to be a fan of the post it notes everywhere but they are easy to lose and when you spend more time looking for things rather than doing, you soon develop a more useful system.
So if you want to make the transition from internet marketing newbie to internet marketing entrepreneur you will need to have multiple streams of income from multiple websites but don’t multi-task, focus on one thing at a time.

Finding Inspiration for Your Article Marketing Topics
by admin on Jul.27, 2009, under General
If you run an online business, you have so many things to think about. You must contol of the always growing list of tasks.
You can spend a lot of time simply deciding upon topics to writing about for your syndicated articles. Consequently, increasing the efficiency of article marketing includes increasing your list of ideas for those articles. Whatever improvements you can make in speeding your article subject choices can have a positive impact upon the eventual success of your business.
Therefore, I thought I would share some good sources for article topics.
- Every business should keep a list of every question asked by customers or prospective customers who email or call. Many of those questions can be turned into short, informative articles.
- Scour the trade publications to which you subscribe. View each article from the perspective of your potential customers. Find a way to present those ideas that is consumer oriented rather than simply being for the insiders who happen to be in that industry.
- Look for questions pertaining to your industry that are asked in online forums. If someone cares enough to ask a question on a forum, chances are that others are asking the same question. Consequently, it is a good article topic.
- Visit your favorite article directories, such as EzineArticles. Again, search keywords. Read some of the articles authored by others. Is there a way you can put your own unique spin on that topic?
- Take a fresh look at articles that are on your own website. Can those topics be repurposed with more of an informational and less of a marketing perspective?
Coming up with topic ideas tends to have a cascading effect. When you come up with one, that seems to bring up other, related subjects. Write all of them down. In other words, generate a big enough list that your brainstorming efforts result in enough topics to last you a while.
