Video can be a key tool in becoming a CPA Ninja. One of the most popular methods, and most effective as well, to drive traffic to your site is via Video Marketing. Sharing a video online via popular services like YouTube.com has become simple even for the most technically challenged.
Some years ago, some creative marketers for CPA (Cost Per Action) came up with a strategy of using videos to promote a bunch of popular music artists. They were promoting a CPA ringtone offer and were using these music videos to draw people to their offer – it was a smashing success.
It was a pretty simple video and then at the end it just flashed up a simple “Download this Ringtone At…” message and a quick link that went to the CPA offer. Pretty simple stuff. Unfortunately, they used copyright protected videos – a big no-no – and got their sites and accounts shut down.
Using videos is still very effective, you just don’t want to use copyrighted videos or other protected information. To make this strategy work, you need to give away some good info and make a professional looking video (tip: just use a nice PowerPoint presentation) and don’t forget to put a link back to your site at the end of the video.
Use a tool such as Camtasia video or it’s free alternative Jing make great screen captures that can be turned into videos. Simply add a link to the end of your captured video (a site or offer tour works great) and you’ll get some great targeted traffic.
In order to drive traffic with Videos you also need to tag them properly. This means listing the keywords you are trying to rank for in the descriptions of the video. Keep in mind that the search engines can’t read your content since it is a video, so they rely on these tags to determine the topic of your video and how to list it in the search results.

There’s a ton of big dollar claims out there from some of the super CPA marketers – $100k a day claims – serious money. But what you’re not being told is just what all they are doing to get that kind of money. So instead of all of the hype and huge money claims, let’s just scale this back a bit and talk realistically. Facts are that most Internet marketers will not even spend $100 a day much less those kind of huge budgets. So let’s just be realistic. The average Internet marketer is going to be running a small budget or maybe even bum marketing – can that be effective with CPA? The answer is absolutely it can.
CPA is no different than all of the other forms of selling online – from affiliate marketing, to digital information, to adsense or mini-sites – it all comes down to traffic. So don’t be scared away from getting into it just because of the affiliate manager interview process or the fact that you have to be approved. Unless you’re a total rookie to the Internet marketing scene, you’ll surely get approved by a few of the networks. You won’t be approved by many regardless, so don’t worry, there are lots to choose from. Different networks give you different offers to promote, although some offers are available through many different networks. One of the key differences between the networks will be in regards to their payment options and timeframes. Make sure to look into that and do your research – some hold your money as long as 60 days before paying – you need to know how to manage your cash flow.
Low budget marketing strategies, such as article and video marketing, can be effective with CPA just as they are with other products. Hardcore SEO might not be the best way to go, however, just because of how long it can take to get your rankings established and keep in mind these offers come and go. If you want to go the SEO route, that’s okay, but you should be smart about it and do it with a domain and site that are niche specific but not offer specific so you can switch to a different related CPA offer any time you want.
If you’re serious about CPA marketing, then you need to be serious about where you invest your time and money. The best investment is in YOU and learning what you need to become a better marketer. CPA Marketing – Are You Curious?

For several years now there has been this industry secret for the “big players”. It wasn’t really a secret, but while most people in Internet Marketing were busy promoting Clickbank and other affiliate programs, the big kahunas were playing on a whole different level – CPA. Today you have great training programs like the CPA Ninja School so that you can learn their techniques.
For those that don’t know, CPA is “Cost Per Action”. What it means is that you, as a promoter, get paid for the “actions” that your traffic takes. As an example, let’s say a cosmetic company wants to gauge the feedback to a new product line that they are thinking of introducing. They pay for each lead that you acquire for them, generally about $1.50 for a simple zip code and email lead – very straightforward. Your job is merely to promote and direct traffic to that site and then collect $1.50 for each person that opts in. This is a fairly standard promotion type. There are other more complicated and higher paying offers that may require a credit card for a free trial plus shipping and handling, or a multi-page registration form for insurance, for example.
Being a CPA marketer, you could really describe yourself as a traffic broker. You buy traffic on one end, send it to an offer page and get paid based on how well it converts. Sounds so simple, doesn’t it? Sometimes it is, but usually it’s not quite that easy. It is an very competitive marketplace and you’re up against some sophisticated marketers with deep pockets – some make as much as $100k net a day. While those huge numbers are impressive, what is more impressive is that many, many more people are making $500 to $1000 a day in CPA campaigns. When you try to get started, you’re going to be up against all of that competition – and it can be very challenging. The profits may seem high, but the costs are as well – don’t be surprised to spend $1000 to net $300. Sounds okay, right – spend $1000 and make back $1300 to net $300. Sure, you’d do it all day long if you could. (Discover insider CPA Ninja tactics.) But cash management and cash flow can become a big problem at first. For example, how much cash do you have at hand and for how long can you float it? Google charges you daily so you’ll be paying $1000 a day, but that $300 net (or $1300 gross) won’t be coming for perhaps 30 and sometimes even 60 days out. Those numbers may seem farfetched, but they are actually on the low end of the super-affiliate scale. So you have to go at the pace you can afford to in the beginning and ramp up as your cash flow improves.
The other thing to keep in mind, is that it is common that you might lose money on the deal for several days or more until you refine the campaign. You can make a very large amount of money in CPA marketing, but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy. As said earlier, CPA is not for the faint of heart and to take it seriously you should be prepared to commit to serious training as well – while potentially expensive, it will pay for itself many times over. So do yourself a favor and invest in the beginning so that you are prepared for the challenges that will come your way with CPA marketing.
