This is where you can earn a commission for advertising, promoting, or simply providing a link for others’ products, typically informational items. Again, with those that are firmly established and have gained “Internet Real Estate”, the road for a new entry can be a tough one. The time and money necessary for a new person to get in and make decent money can be prohibitive. Again, if a substantial income is your goal, this is most likely not your answer.
There are recently more and more avenues for generating income on the internet, such as the blogging craze and attempting to monetize them via promotionals or advertising dollars. However, the sunk cost in time and scope probably renders them nothing more than hobbies and pocket change. Making a serious income would require you to establish yourself as an authority in a particular arena or niche- again potentially costly in time and resources.
